Born in Sicily, Lorenzo Ceci after classical studies moved to Rome. Deeply interested in art and design he studied at IED (European Institute of Design) where he was discovered by Renato Balestra and so Lorenzo started to work with him. Work and study brought him to win the first prize for young designers called by Consorzio Moda Roma. The young designer left Balestra atelier after the proposal of Lancetti to draw fabrics for his haute couture line. A few years later he was invited to work for Fendi as fashion designer. After many years of experience he decided to establish his own brand in the heart of Rome: Lorenz'o In his atelier he develops the concept of design from fashion to the interior design. Art, fashion, architecture and design blend in his working idea. Reminds and colours of his country, Sicily, and artistic and architectural influences of Rome, are filtered by his modern and contemporary point of view, wich gives to his fashion draws an elegant, unusual and minimalist sign. The research of fabrics is very important to Lorenzo because he joins to precious fabrics, fabrics of new generation. All phases to realize the collection respect the sartorial tradition but look to the future instruments like digital print and laser cutting. This make LORENZ’O label a “semi couture” rigorously made in Italy.
